Slow Cooker Pot Roast & Veggies

beef roast of your choice (you can use a less expensive cut since using the slow cooker will tenderize it)
3-5 medium potatoes
3-5 large carrots
medium onion

Pat roast dry and place in slow cooker; sprinkle with meat tenderizer. Wash, peel and cut up potatoes into chunks and slice carrots; place in cooker around roast. Cut onion into chunks or slices and put over top. Cover with water to fill line. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
